Students enrolled in distance education and online courses have the same borrowing privileges as students enrolled in on-campus programs and have additional services available for accessing materials.

Who is a Distance Student?

Distance students are enrolled in distance or online programs. For questions about free distance delivery, contact ill@macewan.ca

The MacEwan ID card

  • Students and faculty who require Library materials to be mailed to their home will need a MacEwan ID Card: Fill out the card request form below (Note: This form is intended for those who live outside the Edmonton area) This is a physical card that will be mailed to you.
  • If you need to use Library resources before you receive your card, please contact the Library at 780-497-5857 or 1-800-565-4824, or by email at ill@macewan.ca. Include your full name, phone number, email, and mailing address.

Your MacEwan Network ID

  • Use your MacEwan username and password to access online resources. If you do not know your MacEwan username and password contact the Technology Support Desk toll free at 1-877-497-4267 or 780-497-4357 or by email at techsupport@macewan.ca  
  • You will need your 7 digit Student ID number and address to receive your MacEwan Network ID or to reset your password. If you don’t know your student ID number contact the Registrar’s office toll free at 1-888-497-4622.
